Author Guidelines
Immersed: A Journal of Faith, Arts, and Letters publishes undergraduate and graduate students' creative and scholarly work, accompanied by authors' reflections on how their Christian faith and/or worldview shaped, or was shaped by, the piece submitted for publication. Published twice per year, the journal accepts submissions that are on topics and issues related to the humanities, broadly construed, with an emphasis on the following fields: communications, creative writing, English, history, journalism, political science, world languages. The mission of the journal is to provide a forum for undergraduate and graduate students to showcase their scholarly and/or creative work crafted from a Christian faith-based perspective. The primary criteria for publishing students' scholarly research and/or creative work, whether as a paper or a hybrid/digital project, are its quality, faith reflection, originality, and relevance to arts and letters. Authors should strive to produce engaging, polished work that appeals to an interdisciplinary audience and, whether or not the work specifically includes faith-based content, reveals through the accompanying faith reflection how the author's faith shaped the work's creation. The journal is sponsored by the Division of Arts and Letters, housed within the College of Arts and Sciences at California Baptist University.
